What is Semax?

Semax (ACTH(4-10) derivative — cognitive neuropeptide) is a 7-amino acid synthetic ACTH(4-10) derivative. ACTH(4-10) derivative upregulating BDNF and NGF expression in multiple brain regions, modulating monoaminergic systems (dopamine, serotonin, noradrenaline), and producing neuroprotection in cerebral ischemia models. Approved as nasal spray in Russia. Greater potency and duration than parent ACTH(4-10).
