What is Melanotan I?
Melanotan I (afamelanotide) is a synthetic analog of α-MSH with selective activity for the MC1R receptor. Unlike Melanotan II, it has minimal activity on MC3R and MC4R, resulting in more selective melanogenesis effects without significant appetite or sexual function changes. MT-I has been researched for skin pigmentation, photoprotection, and dermatological conditions.
