What is LL-37?
LL-37 is the only known member of the cathelicidin family of antimicrobial peptides in humans. It’s a critical component of innate immunity with broad-spectrum antimicrobial activity against bacteria, viruses, and fungi. Beyond antimicrobial effects, LL-37 plays important roles in wound healing, angiogenesis, immune modulation, and inflammatory responses.
