What is KPV?
KPV is a short synthetic tripeptide composed of lysine, proline, and valine. It is derived from the C-terminal region of alpha-melanocyte-stimulating hormone (α-MSH) and has been studied for its anti-inflammatory and immune-modulating properties.
In research settings, KPV has been investigated for its ability to influence inflammatory signaling pathways and cytokine activity. Unlike full-length melanocortin peptides, KPV retains anti-inflammatory activity without significant melanocortin receptor stimulation.
KPV has been explored for its potential role in intestinal health, skin inflammation research, and epithelial barrier function studies.
