What is Sermorelin?
Sermorelin (GHRH(1-29) — Growth Hormone Releasing Hormone analog) is a 29-amino acid N-terminal GHRH fragment. Synthetic analog of the first 29 amino acids of endogenous GHRH, activating the GHRH receptor (GHRH-R) on pituitary somatotrophs to stimulate physiological pulsatile GH release. Short half-life (~10–15 min) preserves natural GH pulse dynamics unlike direct HGH administration.
Research Applications
GHRH-R Pharmacology
Pituitary somatotroph activation, cAMP-dependent GH release
Physiological GH Pulsatility
Natural pulse dynamics vs non-pulsatile HGH administration
Pituitary Function
Somatotroph biology, GH reserve testing models
vs CJC-1295
Short (10–15min) vs extended (30min) GHRH half-life comparison
Aged GH Axis
GH pulse restoration in aged or GH-deficient rodent models
